That’s exactly why we developed the veolo Trailer 2.0 — an ultra-light modular bike trailer designed for surfboards, SUPs, kayaks, kite gear, and outdoor equipment.
Veolo was founded in 2023 by Johann Schmidt together with a group of young cycling enthusiasts, with the goal of developing a trailer that matches high-end bikes in both quality and riding performance.
Following our first Kickstarter campaign in 2023, several awards, thousands of kilometres of real-world testing, and continuous product development, we are now introducing the veolo Trailer 2.0 — a modular high-performance bike trailer for everyday use, travel, sports, and adventure.
Highlights:
- only 6.7 kg in weight
- patented independent wheel suspension
- modular add-ons for cargo, camping, and dog transport
- long-load system for gear up to 3.5 m
- high stability even on fast descents
- developed for sporty bikes and modern mobility
Depending on the set-up, the trailer can be used flexibly for watersports, travel, cargo, or everyday use — and attaches to any bike or e-bike with just one click.
Now we want to take the trailer to the next level and bring the many improvements across the system into production. The Kickstarter campaign to fund series production launches on 27 May 2026.
