Surf’in Venice

Try to imagine more than 100 stand up paddleboarders paddling along the Big Canal of Venice. This is the RRD Surf’in Venice 2018.

As you can imagine, to paddle in Venice is not the easiest task to undertake for two main reasons: boat traffic and permission. However, RRD have organised a paddle every year now for eight years and this year’s event took place on July 22nd.

Surf’in Venice is a special parade along the Grand Canal of Venice, where you can paddle in total safety and security under the Calatrava and Rialto bridges. The event is open to a maximum of 100 paddlers, which they reach every year within three days.
