Doff Tough Cap

Last month, I enjoyed a trip around the NEC outdoor show, checking out the new gear. One that stood out was a stand of caps from a new brand called Doff. Coined from the term, “Doff your hat.” Offering a range of styles to suit everyone, we tested a few.

The most suitable paddle sports cap for me was their ‘Tough’ 5-panel cap. All logos are rubber, so easy to clean and won’t stain. The mesh is laser-cut and perforated, feels super light compared to the classic trucker cap mesh, and has a really comfortable band. The fit is excellent, and the advantage of this particular model is that it is made from a very durable fabric, making it washable, wipeable, and scrubbable. The fabric is water-resistant, too, and a non-card peak means it can most certainly take a dip and dry out quickly!

There is a massive range of caps available. I also love the Atlas, which is another similar design, a 6-panel version, and slightly less durable. This will be my go-to off the water!
